Hi Everyone!

What an exciting summer we are having!  We have been so busy!  I have determined that my very favorite food is popsicles.  They are the perfect food, don't you think?   But my mean Mommy will only let me eat them when I am outside....she just doesn't understand how much I love and need my popsicles.

I have become a climber!  I will climb on anything that is at least one foot off of the ground.  That includes side tables, chairs, the stairs, and even some of my toys.  So now Mommy has to watch me even more carefully....Oh well! 

I have really started talking, and asking,"What's that?" and "Who's that?" to everything in sight....

I am loving being home with Mom every minute of every day.  We have been meeting friends at playgrounds, going to concerts and other play groups, hanging out with Tia and Lucas and having pizza dates with Grammy and Nonno on Friday nights.  What more could a girl ask for?

We spent the weekend in Fairhaven, and I had a blast.  It was so fun to see all of Daddy's family.  I love the ocean.  Not necessarily swimming in it, but I like to stand in it!

I had my 18 month check up on Monday.  Dr. Barsam is so happy with my growth and thinks I am a Smartie.  I am just below the 50%ile for both height and weight.  My height is 30.5 inches and my weight is 23 lbs.

Hi Everyone!

 Summer vacation is here for all of us!  We have a fun filled summer planned.  Although I love the time that I spend with Grammy and Thaya, I can't wait to spend every waking moment with Mommy.  I even have to follow her into the bathroom to pee!

I am doing great!  I am talking up a storm and really becoming Miss Independent (Cue Kelly Clarkson here)...I love to do my own thing and am always busy busy busy. 

I am saying lots of words...too many to name here...and am starting to climb everything....stairs, chairs and everything else that is worth climbing.  I am getting good at the playground and have mastered my slide on the back porch.  I love bubbles, and I really LOVE sucking on the bubble wand!  I love the baby pool, but haven't been in a big pool yet....hopefully very soon.

I love fruit...strawberries are my favorite.  I love drinking smoothies, as long as I am sharing from Daddy or Mommy's straw.  Cheese and pasta are still among my favorite foods, and I still love veggies as well.  Mommy wishes I was more of a meat eater....but I think that is an acquired taste.

Mom will update more often now that we are off for the summer!!! YAY!

A day at the lake...

 

We went to Mommy's cousin Alissa and her husband Mark's house for Alissa's graduation last weekend.  They have an amazing home right on the lake.  I love putting my suit on and having daddy hold me, but I did not like when he put me in the water.  I also loved playing with Sam...he is such a cutie!  We had a great day!

Hi Everyone!

It has been such a long time since Mommy has updated.  She says she is busy...whatever!!!!

Easter came and went.  Mommy fussed about my dress.  Cute dress and all, but I am not sure what the fuss was all about!  By the way, that bunny is brilliant!  How did he know what I wanted?  I got some cool books, a sign language video, a tee-shirt and other fun stuff.  That silly bunny left me some eggs with coins in them...good thing I have a big brother and sister to help me find them!  I just walked around the living room shaking one egg!

I had my 15 month appointment and now am almost 16 months old!  Can you believe it?  I weigh 22 lbs, and am 30.5 inches tall.  Mommy still says that I am a peanut...but the doctor is so happy with how much I have grown.  She says that I am in the 50%ile all around.  Pretty good stuff!  I also went back to St. Elizabeth's for them to check up on me and they think I am perfect!  I charmed them with my chattiness.  I wonder where I get that from?

I am growing up pretty fast!  I love being a toddler.  I am an excellent eater and am even practicing using a fork and spoon.  My favorites include most fruit (except for blueberries), pasta, cereal bars, waffles, and my favorites are VEGETABLES!!!!  Peas, broccoli, and corn on or off the cob.  I still love cheese and yogurt too. 

I am thrilled that the spring weather is finally here....I love playing outside...it is so fun!  Playing in my car, running around on the deck, blowing bubbles....so much to do!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Spring!  I am so excited about the nice weather...I love being outside, playing in the sun. It is great!

We've been busy.  Mommy doesn't have as many pictures of me because, frankly, I don't sit still and and is difficult to take pictures of me!  Heehee!

I am walking!  Sometimes Mommy calls me the walking maniac!  I know she means it with love.

We went to see the Easter Bunny....I didn't care for him at all.  I cried.  Oh well...Hopefully he will still come to my house with a basket and eggs.

I am getting so big...and mom says I am a character!

January/February 2007

Well, my birthday has come and gone.  Life is still so busy!  I had a double ear infection (YUCK!) that wouldn't go away with just amoxicillian...so I needed the stronger stuff. I am better now.

We had several doctor appointments this month, but at our well-baby visit, they said that I am 20 pounds 10 ounces, and 29 1/2 inches tall.  The doctor is very pleased with how well I am growing up.  So pleased that she wants my Mom and Dad to stop giving me the bottle....WHAT IS UP WITH THAT????  Lucky for me, Mommy is easing me in slowly. 

I've had lots of family birthday celebrations in the last 2 months, and quite a few play dates with my friends.  Hopefully, the warm weather will come soon, so that my friends and I will STAY HEALTHY! I love playing with my friends...and they love me. 

Mommy took me sledding for the first time.  I loved it!  I didn't want to stop!  But it got really cold out, so we had to go in.

My favorite foods these days are peas and broccoli.  I can't get enough of them.  And then, there has been so much of this birthday cake!!!!

We're still working on the walking thing, and drinking from a sippie cup, and sleeping through the night.... In time, I know I will do these things....but what's the rush?  My motto is, "You're only one once!"

Valentine's pics

Hi Everyone!

Mom's famous words, "But, I had a coupon!" led us to the Picture People today.  We went to the one at Northshore Mall, and I fell in love with my photographer, Tyler.  He did a really good job taking my pictures, and he was easy on the eyes....  Mommy had a super hard time choosing, especially since she was on a budget (considering we DID just get one year old pics last month....)

I went to the doctor on Friday for my one year old visit.  I am healthy...I weigh 20 pounds and 10 ounces.  I am 29 and 1/2 inches tall.  I am in the 50-75th % for height and the 50% for weight.  Pretty good for a preemie, eh?  I still have that pesky ear infection though...my second one.  They put me on stronger medicine, and hopefully, that will do the trick.  The doctor wants me to stop using the bottle....IS SHE CRAZY????  Mommy is trying to limit my bottles, but she is still letting me have them when I need them.  Mommy, Thaya and Grammy keep buying me new, different sippie cups....little do they know that I will never use a sippie cup!!!!  I am boycotting the sippie cup!

I am not walking yet, but I manage to get around.  I have a little scoot that works for me...it has one knee up and the other one on the floor...picture number 4 shows that pose of mine.  Nonno LOVES my scooting....I think he'll be sad when I finally walk. 

I have 8 teeth and am eating pretty much anything that you can eat.  I am developing quite the stubborn personality...I mean, it is a good thing to try to get my own way, right?  I have learned some new tricks like waving, clapping and dancing.  Mommy thinks I am adorable.  We have so much fun together on her days off.

Mommy has to get some pictures of me playing with my toys.  I'll tell her to get on that.  Also, she will post some pictures of me in my Valentine's Day outfits.  Yes, that is OUTFITS.
